Stanley House, Clitheroe

A Grade II Listed property in the heart of Clitheroe, Lancashire, Stanley House had been used as an office building by a local architecture firm. Having lost a lot of its traditional features over the past few decades, our main goal was to reinstate these features and strike a balance between honouring the original Georgian style and creating a functional, contemporary and liveable home for our client.

We decided that the downstairs living spaces should be sympathetic to the traditional style and include more contemporary features in the rest of the home. Inspired by the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside, the scheme was developed around layered textures, the use of natural materials and a soft, earthy colour palette that runs through the house.
